Information about new developments in Fox

On this page, you will notably find information about new feautures included in Fox BETA (TEST) versions. You can download these beta versions, but be aware that these are less stable than official releases. It is highly recommended to subscribe to the Fox mailing list when using these versions, as new beta versions are announced on that list (including possible bugs).

Export to other programs

• Right now Fullprof export works: see Manual/Powder#export

• Ideally GSAS should be added too - the format is less clear to me though...

Indexing

• Indexing now works reliably up to monoclinic symmetry, including search for centered cells.
• Indexing triclinic works well but is not 100% reliable, more like 70%... Some work is still needed here.

PDF

• Basic PDF calculation have now been added to Fox. There is still some work to be added to correctly take into account the dynamical occupancy correction.
